Ryan Tracy, D.M.D.

Dr. Ryan Tracy is a life-long Clintonian.  He graduated with honors from Clinton High School in 1992 and then went on to attend Mississippi College.  In 1994, at the age of 19, Dr. Tracy became one of the youngest applicants ever admitted to The University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry.  Upon his graduation from dental school in 1998, Dr. Tracy opened his private practice in his hometown of Clinton. In 2002, he purchased the practice of Dr. Fletcher Callahan, and the two practices merged.

Dr. Tracy is a member of the American Dental Association and the Mississippi Dental Association and continues to improve his dental education with emphasis on dental implants, periodontology (gum disease), endodontics (root canals),  and esthetic dentistry.  He is a Certified Invisalign Provider and has lectured to dentists around the state on CAD/CAM dentistry.   Dr. Tracy has served on the Peer Review Committee of the Mississippi Dental Association and has served as the Treasurer of the Mississippi Dental Association's District IV Dental Association.   Dr. Tracy's research into salivary biochemical markers for osteoporosis has been published in the peer-reviewed American Journal of Peridontology.   Dr. Tracy has also served as an Associate Preceptor Professor for the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry.

Dr. Tracy also serves his state and nation as a Lieutenant Colonel in the 172nd Medical Group of the Mississippi Air National Guard. 

An active member of his community, Dr. Tracy is a 1999 graduate of Leadership Clinton, was the 2003 President of the Clinton Chamber of Commerce, and was the founding President of Main Street Clinton.  He has also served in city government as a member of the City of Clinton's Planning and Zoning Commission, and in county government as the President of the Hinds County Economic Development Authority.  

Dr. Tracy's commitment to community service has been recognized by many organizations.  He is the recipient of Main Street Mississippi's Paul Coggins Memorial Award, the organization's most prestigious statewide award for volunteer service.  He has also been recognized by the Mississippi Business Journal as one of the top 40 business leaders under age 40 in 2007.  In 2010, he was recognized by the Clinton Chamber of Commerce as the City of Clinton's Outstanding Citizen, the city's highest award for community service and leadership.  He also has been recognized with a commendation by the Mississippi State Senate for service to his state and city.

Dr. Tracy has served on the Regional Advisory Board of Entergy Mississippi as well as the Strategic Planning Team for the Clinton Public School District since 2000.  Dr. Tracy also serves on the Steering Committee for Leadership Clinton.
 

Fletcher Callahan, D.D.S.

Dr. Callahan was a Columbus, MS native and a graduate of Mississippi College.  He graduated from the Loyola School of Dentistry in 1962, and subsequently began his private practice career in addition to a career in dental education.  Dr. Callahan served as a Professor of Operative Dentistry at Loyola School of Dentistry and as the Assistant Chairman of the General Dentistry Department at Louisiana State University School of Dentistry.  During his academic career, Dr. Callahan participated in various fields of research including operative dentistry techniques and biomaterials.

In 1973, Dr. Callahan moved to Clinton, MS to continue his private practice career.  He was a member of the American Dental Association as well as the Mississippi Dental Association. 

Dr. Callahan passed away in 2013, working actively to provide the best care for his many patients until the very end of his remarkable and generous life.

He is dearly missed by his dental family.
